Zainab Imran: Leads Torch relay presenting Pakistan team team

KARACHI: A Pakistani schoolgirl selected to take part in the Olympic torch relay spoke of her delight Friday and said she hoped it could improve the country’s image.

Zainab Imran, 15, was selected to participate in the relay next week in Nottingham by the British Council.

Council volunteers from 20 countries were chosen to hold the torch and represent their country at a June 28 ceremony. The Olympic Games begins on July 27.

“It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am very happy,” Zainab told reporters. “It is a great inspiration for all Pakistani youth and I will try to present a soft image of my country.”

It has also attracted international criticism for its human rights record and the reluctance of its elites to pay taxes when so many millions live in poverty and from handouts from foreign donors.

“It’s unfortunate that a few people have tarnished our country’s image and it’s our duty to fight that out and don’t allow these people to create a bad name for Pakistan,” said Zainab.

Pakistan’s men’s field hockey team qualified, but otherwise Pakistan will field only wild card entries at the Games.

Veena Malik: Supports Homosexuality Community

Pakistan’s raunchy babe, who recently stepped in Bollywood, Veena Malik has now came forward to support Homosexuality.

Homosexuality is generally considered a taboo subject of civil society but Bollywood starlet Veena Malik took initative for supporting same sex marriage. She is standing up for the equality of every citizen. After Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga, now Veena Malik came forward to support Lesbian Women.
Veena Malik said, “I openly supporting the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community and I don't feel shy about doing it. If American President Barak Obama and Hollywood beauties can stand up for the gay marriage so why not every country citizen should support this cause. I personally feel every person have a rights to live their life on their own rules and nobody should interfere in their personal life.”
This is such a huge step taken forward to support for civil rights. Homosexuality is inhibited by the fact that sexuality in any form is rarely discussed openly. However, attitudes towards homosexuality have shifted slightly.

Atiqa Odho Third Time Marriage

It may sound weird but yes, the ravishing 44 years old Pakistani actress Atiqa Odho is going to marry third time.
Atiqa Odho will tie the knot with famous architect Samar Ali very soon in Karachi. The wedding ceremony of Atiqa Odho and Samar Ali is kept very secret and will be attended by close friends and family only. The venue is also not disclosed yet.
It will be third marriage of hot and sexy Atiqa Odho whereas the second of Samar Ali. They both also belong to two different political parties. Atiqa Odho is member of All Pakistan Muslim League whereas Samar Ali is member of Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaaf of Imran Khan.

Sidra Iqbal Hosts The Prestigious IIFA 2012 In Singapore

Sidra Iqbal has the honor of being the only media person of Pakistan to host the prestigious IIFA 2012 held in the Lion City, Singapore.
Pakistani anchor Sidra Iqbal set the Global Entertainment Arena on fire by hosting the Official Digital Platform of the annual Bollywood Bonanza IIFA 2012 in Singapore.
This year IIFA marked the 100 year legacy of the Indian Cinema and for which, the prominent anchor person of Pakistan Sidra Iqbal also joined the grand celebration in Singapore. Her bubbly looks and friendly style made her a favorite of all Bollywood celebrities quickly and she got opportunity to interact with all A-List Bollywood stars.
As Sidra recalls “My last project with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan was Pakistan’s biggest ever fashion & lifestyle trade show showcasing in India namely Lifestyle Pakistan (April 12-15). It took me to Delhi where I led the Public Relations and turnkey media management for the 4-day exhibition, the TDAP and our 100 plus exhibitors!!  I believe the hard work put in that event  paid off in a splendid manner.

Adnan Sami and Sabah Galadari Get Divorced Once Again

Pakistani singer Adnan Sami Khan and his second wife Sabah Galadari have once again got an official divorce by the Bombay High Court as filed by Sabah herself.
Adnan Sami Khan and Sabah Galadari were having a very tough and bitter time of their marriage. The relationship became too intolerable that Sabah Galadari, who is a UAE citizen, filed for divorce in the Family Court of India along with registering a court order under the Domestic Violence Act against husband Adnan Sami Khan.

Both of them were strictly agreed for the dissolution of marriage and thus the High Court announced their divorce.
Anyhow, Adnan Sami Khan is having a very good time after the split up. "Let me dance and sing with my family and friends. This torture has been going on from February 2009. My wife Roya Faryabi and I, and my mother have suffered so much...I had full faith in god and the Indian judiciary. I feel like throwing off my shoes like Waheeda Rehman in 'Guide' and singing 'Kaaton Se Kheench Ke Yeh Aanchal'," he said.
Adnan Sami Khan married Sabah Galadari in 2001 and got divorced in 2004. Later on, in year 2007, they tied the knot once again but the things could not work and now they are having their own lives.
